An introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), covering the fundamentals of cartography, creating and editing GIS data, linking spatial and tabular data, georeferencing, map projections, geospatial analysis, and spatial statistics. Students build and apply GIS models using examples drawn from hydrology, ecology, and geology.
